LinkedIn for Researchers

In an increasingly international, digital and collaborative scientific ecosystem, researchers online visibility has become a key factor in expanding professional networks, creating opportunities for collaboration and broadening the reach of their scientific work. In addition to being a recruitment platform, LinkedIn has established itself as a strategic space for researchers to disseminate scientific results, share publications, awards and projects, keep up with emerging trends and establish contacts that can lead to collaborations, project applications and international consortia.
GENERAL INFORMATIONS:
The ‘LinkedIn for Researchers‘ workshop will be held at CIIMAR on November 12th, from 2pm to 5:30pm. The session will be conducted in english.
It is intended for CIIMAR PhD students and PhD holders who wish to use LinkedIn more strategically in the context of research.
Registrations are open until November 10th.

NOTE: The attendance certificate will be issued if the trainee attends at least 80% of the total course time.

DESCRIPTION:
It consists of a workshop featuring demonstrations, concrete examples and practical exercises, followed by individual online mentoring sessions (to be scheduled within the next three months) with each participant interested in receiving feedback on their LinkedIn profile.
For this session, each participant should bring their laptop.

Trainer: Ana Freitas
Bachelor’s degree in Education (IE–University of Minho); Master’s degree in Educational Sciences (IE–University of Minho); PhD candidate in Educational Sciences with a research focus on Doctoral Education (FPCEUP). Certified as a teacher trainer (CCPFC/RFO-16273/03) and as a trainer of trainers (EDF-42336-2003). She is currently a Visiting Assistant Lecturer at the University of Porto (Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Sciences) and a doctoral research fellow at CIIE – Centre for Research and Intervention in Education, FPCEUP.
