CVs and interviews, especially for companies/industry, are skills-based.
In the ‘What skills are employers looking for in PhD holders‘ workshop, participants will learn which skills are most valued when hiring PhDs, will be able to self-assess these skills, will know how to develop them and compensate for any gaps, and finally will learn how to turn PhD and research activities into skills valued by the market.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
This workshop will be held on February 17th, online, from 2pm to 3:30pm. The session will be delivered in english.
It is intended for PhD students and Early-Career Researchers.

Trainer: Ana Freitas
Bachelor’s degree in Education (IE–University of Minho); Master’s degree in Educational Sciences (IE–University of Minho); PhD candidate in Educational Sciences with a research focus on Doctoral Education (FPCEUP). Certified as a teacher trainer (CCPFC/RFO-16273/03) and as a trainer of trainers (EDF-42336-2003). She is currently a Visiting Assistant Lecturer at the University of Porto (Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Sciences) and a doctoral research fellow at CIIE – Centre for Research and Intervention in Education, FPCEUP.
NOTE: The attendance certificate will be issued if the trainee attends at least 80% of the total course time.
