Expectations and Responsibilities in Doctoral Supervision

Doctoral supervision is one of the most determining factors for the quality of the doctoral experience, for the development of independent researchers and for the attractiveness of doctoral programs.
In a context in which Doctoral Education faces new challenges associated with internationalization, open science, artificial intelligence, integrity in research, diversity of professional paths and the well–being of doctoral students, the role of the supervisor has become more complex and demanding.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The ‘Expectations and Responsibilities in Doctoral Supervision‘ worshop will be held online, on November 12th, from 2pm to 5:30pm. The session will be conducted in english.
Is intended to (Co-)supervisors of PhD students and researchers holding a PhD who will soon begin supervising PhD student.
This training aims to support supervisors in understanding their academic, scientific and ethical responsibilities, promoting more effective, reflective supervision practices in line with international recommendations and good practices.
