SUMMARY:Expectations and Responsibilities in Doctoral Supervision
DESCRIPTION:Doctoral supervision is one of the most determining factors for the quality of the doctoral experience\, for the development of independent researchers and for the attractiveness of doctoral programs.  \nIn a context in which Doctoral Education faces new challenges associated with internationalization\, open science\, artificial intelligence\, integrity in research\, diversity of professional paths and the well–being of doctoral students\, the role of the supervisor has become more complex and demanding. \n \n\nGENERAL INFORMATION: \nThe ‘Expectations and Responsibilities in Doctoral Supervision‘ worshop will be held online\, on November 12th\, from 2pm to 5:30pm. The session will be conducted in english. \nIs intended to (Co-)supervisors of PhD students and researchers holding a PhD who will soon begin supervising PhD student. \n  \nThis training aims to support supervisors in understanding their academic\, scientific and ethical responsibilities\, promoting more effective\, reflective supervision practices in line with international recommendations and good practices. \n  \nRegistrations until November 5th:\n\nCIIMAR & IPMA: free\nStandard: 70€ (CCMAR has a 50% discount)\n\n  \nTrainer: Ana Freitas \nBachelor’s degree in Education (IE–University of Minho); Master’s degree in Educational Sciences (IE–University of Minho); PhD candidate in Educational Sciences with a research focus on Doctoral Education (FPCEUP). Certified as a teacher trainer (CCPFC/RFO-16273/03) and as a trainer of trainers (EDF-42336-2003). She is currently a Visiting Assistant Lecturer at the University of Porto (Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Sciences) and a doctoral research fellow at CIIE – Centre for Research and Intervention in Education\, FPCEUP.\n  \nNOTE: The attendance certificate will be issued if the trainee attends at least 80% of the total course time. \nIf tickets are sold out\, you can sign up for the waiting list.
