SUMMARY:Reuniões doutorais eficazes e feedback eficiente na supervisão doutoral

SUMMARY:Effective PhD Meetings and Efficient Feedback in Doctoral Supervision
DESCRIPTION:Supervising PhD students is one of the many functions that make up an academia career. Holding supervision meetings can occupy a large percentage of our schedules; however\, supervisors and students aften avoid them (in favor of emails\, for example). On the other hand\, PhD students may feel that the meetings are not fruitful or even useful\, and supervisors may feel that PhD students do not make the most of the time allocated for the meeting. \nBoth may feel that there are not enough hours in the day to hold them\, along with other commitments and expectations. However\, the literature has shown that very few Higher Education Institutions issue guidelines for supervision meetings (Coutts\, E & Marshall\, P 2019; Woods & Berger\, 1988). \n  \n\nGENERAL INFORMATION:\nThe ‘Effective PhD Meetings and Efficient Feedback in Doctoral Supervision‘ workshop will be held online on October 9th\, from 2pm to 5pm.
